Thoughts on a Compact Pickup Truck?
Ford will be unveiling a compact pickup truck, the 2022 Maverick, on June 8, 2021. The newest addition to Ford’s lineup will be smaller than the current F-150 and one of the most affordable pickups in the market. I love the idea of a smaller, cost-efficient pickup. Truck pricing has skyrocketed from what it once was. It seems they are appealing more to the big, heavy haulers than the average joe who doesn’t need tow often.
The Ford Maverick will be perfect for the younger generation who don’t tow large trailers or boats but like outdoor sports. Having an open bed is ideal to throw the golf clubs in, fishing rods, or hunting equipment. This compact pickup is perfect for weekend trips to Lowes for lumber or gardening needs. Pickup trucks seem to be getting larger in every direction which makes parking a pain in cities. The Maverick is a great size that easily fits inside a garage. Increasing pricing for full-size pickup trucks has created a gap between those who want a truck vs those who can afford a pickup. The Ford Maverick will be priced to sell. A starting MSRP of around 20k makes it a great price for everyone, including younger adults or teens. The Maverick’s affordability and size make it a hit in my book.
The Maverick will make its debut on Tuesday, June 8, at 6 am EST. Once more details are released on the 2022 Ford Maverick, I will be posting a full review and breakdown.
