Which 2020 Ford F-150 Trim Level is Right for You?

Ford’s full-size F-series pickup trucks have been America’s best-selling trucks for more than 40 consecutive years. The F-150 is the most popular truck in the lineup, and it’s renowned for its strength, reliability, payload, and towing capacity. Let’s explore which 2020 Ford F-150 trim level is right for you.

You can choose from a regular cab, the extended SuperCab, or the spacious SuperCrew cab and a 5.5-foot, 6.5-foot, or 8-foot bed. The 2020 Ford F-150 is offered in XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Limited, and Raptor trim levels.

Engine Options
Standard in XL and XLT models is a 3.3-liter V-6 engine that delivers 290 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque. You can opt for a 2.7-liter V-6 EcoBoost engine generating 325 horsepower and 400 pound-feet, a 3.5-liter V-6 turbo producing 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet, or a 5.0-liter V-8 that gives you 395 horsepower and 400 pound-feet.

The Lariat comes standard with the 2.7-liter turbo and adds the option of a 3.0-liter V-6 turbo-diesel that produces 250 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque. King Ranch and Platinum models get the V-8 as standard, while the Limited and Raptor trims feature a high output version of the 3.5-liter V-6 turbo that delivers a best-in-class 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque.

F-150 XL
As the workhorse of the lineup, the XL features black bumpers, grille, and trim, daytime running lights, 17-inch steel wheels, and a cargo light. Inside, you’ll find fabric seats, vinyl flooring, a 2.3-inch driver display, two 12-volt power outlets, air conditioning, and four-speaker audio.

F-150 XLT
XLT models add chrome bumpers, a chrome-trimmed grille, fog lights, alloy wheels, power door and tailgate locks, carpet flooring, and cruise control. The Sync 3 infotainment system features an 8-inch touch screen, smartphone integration, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and voice activation.

F-150 Raptor
The Raptor is the off-road specialist and has a unique interior and exterior styling. It features a specialized 4×4 system, a reinforced frame, long travel suspension, Fox shocks, 17-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, fender flares, and skid plates. The interior has Raptor leather-trimmed cloth seating, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and satellite radio.

F-150 Lariat
The Lariat trim steps up the equipment with 18-inch wheels, LED bed and tailgate lighting, color-keyed door handles and heated power-folding mirrors with approach lights, turn signals, and memory.

Interior features include push-button start, leather upholstery, power-adjustable heated and ventilated front seats, an 8-inch driver display, dual-zone climate control, power-adjustable pedals, woodgrain-style trim, ambient lighting, and a power-sliding rear window.

F-150 King Ranch
The King Ranch offers quad beam LED headlights, LED fog lights, LED mirror-mounted spotlights, running boards, LED taillights, and remote tailgate release. The uniquely-styled interior has heated rear seats, a heated power tilt-and-telescope steering wheel, a flow-through center console, real wood trim, two 110-volt power outlets, voice-activated navigation, and 10-speaker B&O audio.

F-150 Platinum and Limited
Platinum models feature color-keyed bumpers, 20-inch wheels, power-deployable running boards, and multi-contour leather upholstery. The Limited trim adds 22-inch wheels, satin chrome door handles and trim, a dual-panel moonroof, and adaptive cruise control.
